Another disappointment
for the once proud Zambians, a football association reported to be in steady
decline.
Zambian hero Kalusha Bwalya
made a last attempt to lead his side to a Nations Cup title, but a rather
uninspired Zambian side looked everything else than capable of getting
very far.
Although the Zambian side
looked quite solid they lacked the fluent passing style of the Zambian
under 20 team that had promised a better future at Nigeria 99.
It will be difficult for
the Zambians to revive the glory of the past years - the backgrounds do
not seem to be very promising and a strong football elite has formed in
some other African nations. |
